Library and Knowledge Service
Access to evidence-based high quality resources to support health improvement, health management, learning and professional development is provided by two libraries which form a single, complementary Library and Knowledge Service. The County Durham and Tees Valley Primary Care Library is based in Durham and the Health Promotion Library is based in Darlington.

County Durham and Tees Valley Primary Care Library
The Library provides a free service to all staff employed by County Durham, Darlington and the Tees Primary Care Trusts and to all GP Practice staff. We offer a comprehensive range of library services including books, journals, current awareness alerts, enquiries, help with accessing electronic resources and other related matters.
Health Promotion Library
Health Promotion Library services include provision of health information leaflets, posters, books, videos and more for the public sector and voluntary sector in County Durham and Darlington. We provide online access to local and national reports, health promotion journals, monthly Library current awareness e-bulletin and the best available knowledge on what is most effective in improving the health of the population.
