The County Durham Physical Activity Strategy aims to encourage more people to participate in regular physical activity regardless of age, gender, ability or affordability. The strategy has four main themes of Young People and Education, Community, Workplace and Primary Care.

Young Women Get Active

This Active England project in the Sedgefield Borough is for young women aged 11-16. The aim of the project is to listen to the views of young women living in the area about the barriers they face in participating in sport and physical activity. This feedback is used to make changes where barriers have been identified.
